royal navy
warrington-morris joined royal navy @ age of 15 in 1899 midshipman. promoted sub lieutenant on 18 december 1902 lieutenant 2 years later in december 1904 , in 1912 recorded being lieutenant commander studying @ royal navy torpedo school hms vernon.
following training warrington-morris posted torpedo officer hms swiftsure, rn flagship east indies station rank of acting commander. in 1916 transferred royal naval air service , promoted commander on 30 june 1917 senior wireless officer.
royal flying corps
in 1918 posted royal flying corps staff officer i/c 1st class equipment – wireless telegraphy , promoted acting lieutenant colonel before royal flying corps amalgamated royal naval air service form new royal air force in april of year. commission lieutenant colonel made permanent , gazetted on 22 august 1919 when appointed deputy director of flying instrumentation.

when raf rank structure reorganised in late 1919 warrington-morris became wing commander , name removed royal navy list. appointed commandant, raf electrical , wireless school on 1 august 1921 , promoted group captain in january 1922.
on 1 january 1925 warrington-morris promoted air commodore , appointed senior air staff officer (saso) @ raf hq iraq command. in march 1927 became raf s representative ordnance committee @ woolwich september 1928 declared supernumerary air commodore @ raf central depot. between 1928 , 1934 commandant raf signals branch until retirement regular officer.
