the next logo used 1991 2007


until circa 1991 next used lower case courier-style typeface in black against white background logo. replaced capitalised next logo in roman-serif style type face. there variations of such logo each letter of next in individual square , in stores in 2005/6 had next logo in varying blue & black background x s printed on them, opposed black background. in addition, variations in typeface occurred during logo s use – including similar fonts had serifs positioned above t crossbar, similar garamond , others had more in common times new roman. in 2007 new next logo introduced, although previous logo continued used until stock exhausted.


next clothing carries reference origins of company in 1982 use of 82 or 1982 design feature on clothes in ranges.


prior 2007 next advertised prior sale, through brief television spots , newspaper advertising. in 2007 following disappointing 7.2% fall in like sales, announced investing £17 million on next 3 years revive existing stores , product offering + additional £10m marketing. yasmin le bon modelled in first next directory in spring 1988 featured in on-line fashion show.


in september 2007, celebrate 25th anniversary, next launched first television campaign in twelve years named ali s party song see , starring brazilian supermodel alessandra ambrosio. casts next employees, otherwise nicknamed nextras . second advert featuring ambrosio, screened in november 2007 , songs regularly played instore during campaign.


an advert directed ben watts , filmed on banks of river seine shown in september 2010 reflect season’s parisian chic styles. soundtracked specials’ message you, rudy , starred brazilian model emanuela de paula , spanish actor jon kortajarena.
