initial run (2000–2001)

wow programming aired in first-run syndication, late @ night , packaged other sports-entertainment programming. programs became highest rated wrestling shows in markets of new york , los angeles , demonstrated ability regardless of region, market size or time-period grow each television stations audience. promotion aired twenty 4 original one-hour episodes, fielding single pay-per-view, women of wrestling unleashed. headquarters in los angeles, wow held live events taped broadcast great western forum in inglewood, california. organization s first live event attendance mere 400+, audience grew on 5,000 customers on period of 6 events, , website peaked in 1 month on 10 million unique visitors.


the majority of wow s performers rookies business, recruited backgrounds in modeling, acting, stunt work, , martial arts. selina majors (who wrestled bambi) , thug (who wrestled peggy lee leather) trainers company. jeanie buss appeared regularly on wow programming, although not in-ring participant.


dormant (2001–2012)

due ever soft , declining advertising market during time, wow not able take advantage of momentum , ceased production after completing 24 original episodes , 1 live pay-per-view event. wow ceased television production fall 2001. wow, although off air in united states after 2001, continued exist through international distribution deals markets of israel, russia, india, canada, south africa, kenya, middle east, turkey, malaysia, dominican republic , other countries airing wow shows.


david mclane attempt relaunch show again few times on next decade, no success. 1 attempt in 2002 included partnership kiss frontman gene simmons. starting in july 2011, wow website reported wow original shows started airing on abc affiliate ktnv in las vegas. series continues distributed internationally. in 2013, coors light sponsored several live events in las vegas @ eastside cannery casino , hotel, new programs produced.


relaunch (2012–present)

on may 29, 2012, mclane , buss announced intention produce new episodes of series. on sunday, december 9, 2012, @ 11 a.m. on cw las vegas station kvcw, wow! returned television in advance of wow! pandemonium tour 2013 . wow! kicked off tour in las vegas, nevada, first live event on january 19, 2013.


the new programming of wow featured of original wow wrestlers such lana star, jade, delta lotta pain, loca, thug, jungle grrrl , selina majors addition of new talent auditioned wow in months prior december 9, 2012, television show. wow wrestlers referred superheroes . new wow superheroes characters known frost, fire, stephy slays, keta rush, la niña , mexican star named azucar. original wow girl selina majors serves official trainer of wow s new talent. joining roster independent wrestlers santana garrett , amber o neal.
