kmcw-ld first hit air on april 22, 2003. acquired modesto, california-based sainte partners ii, l.p. (owner chester smith) in 2006 , new sister station kfbi-ld 48 begin airing programming in july 2006. kmcw began carrying nbc-owned spanish language network telemundo , aired via internet link california headquarters in chico, california.
