cincinnati again hosted civil rights game on may 15, 2010. reds defeated st. louis cardinals in dramatic 4–3 game ended when reds ss orlando cabrera took relay throw lf chris heisey @ base of left field wall , gunned down skip schumaker @ home plate trying score tying run first base on joe mather s double. both teams wore replicas of 1954 uniforms game, first season both teams fielded first black players. again, mlb network telecast game except in cincinnati (fox sports ohio) , st. louis (fox sports midwest).


2011 game

during 2010 season, announced atlanta, georgia had been selected host 2011 , 2012 civil rights games @ turner field, home of atlanta braves. prior start of 2011 season, 2011 game announced may 15 series finale between atlanta braves , philadelphia phillies. additionally, festivities have been expanded 2 days 4 days. tbs carried game outside philadelphia , atlanta dmas.


for civil rights game, braves , phillies wore 1974 throwback jerseys honor hank aaron s record-breaking 715th home run in 1974 member of atlanta braves. in previous game of series, both teams wore negro league uniforms respective cities, atlanta black crackers braves , philadelphia stars phillies.
