the regiment renamed 3rd king s own hussars in january 1921. deployed turkey in november 1921 part of british intervention force, remaining there until 24 august 1923, when sailed egypt. in 1926, regiment stationed in lucknow, india. returning england in 1932, regiment garrisoned in york, moved tidworth in 1934. regiment began mechanising in 1935, when began receiving lorries, followed armoured cars in following year. in 1937, regiment moved aldershot, served reconnaissance unit of 2nd infantry division.
