the proposed craft take off , land low-speed wing across airflow, rotate quarter-turn high-speed wing faces airflow supersonic travel. nasa has funded study of proposal.


the design claimed feature low wave drag, high subsonic efficiency , little or no sonic boom.


the proposed low-speed wing have thick, rounded airfoil able contain payload , long span high efficiency, while high-speed wing have thin, sharp-edged airfoil , shorter span low drag @ supersonic speed.
