puthenthope coastal village in thiruvananthapuram (trivandrum) district in kerala, india, , situated 19 km northwest of city centre, 16 km trivandrum international airport. village covered coconut palms , cashew trees. western side edges arabian sea, while east separated parvathi puthanar, manmade canal completed during time of regent sethu lakshmi bhai of travancore kingdom. access national highway (nh 47) , railway station short 2 km , vssc of indian space research organisation close by. there 2 man made hills — 1 on south (thekkekkunnu)and other on north (vadakkekkunnu), believed have been made during time of portuguese. beach not known , quiet , secluded. fast gaining popularity.
