ipfw student athletes, known since 2016–17 school year fort wayne mastodons, compete national collegiate athletic association division school in summit league, , in midwestern intercollegiate volleyball association men s volleyball. university participates in 14 men s , women s sports. before joining ncaa division athletics, ipfw competed in great lakes valley conference in ncaa division ii.
