career
1999–2001: years

under new manager uwe rösler, o connor began 2011–12 season substitute , scored first goal of campaign winning penalty in 1–0 league victory on wycombe wanderers on 10 september 2011. suffered serious ankle injury in 1–0 fa cup first round win on basingstoke town on 12 november, collapsing in agony after catching foot in turf. had made 18 appearances , scored 2 goals before injury ended season. o connor returned team in time start of 2012–13 season , featured regularly substitute. after making 11 appearances, suffered serious leg , ankle injury while falling in tackle in 1–0 victory on portsmouth on 6 november 2012 , determined out 6 months. o connor signed new contract in march 2013, running until june 2014. returned first team on 10 april 2013, unused substitute during 2–0 victory on crewe alexandra. o connor pressed service in next game, replacing lee hodson after 66 minutes of pulsating 2–2 draw sheffield united, game saw tony craig , clayton donaldson sent off brentford. craig s 3 match suspension began on brentford s penultimate game of season against hartlepool united. still not fit, o connor filled in @ centre alongside harlee dean in 1–1 draw, having never played position before.

2013 playoffs , reaching 500 appearances
brentford met swindon town in semi-finals of 2013 playoffs , trailing 1–0 in first leg, bees awarded injury time penalty, o connor converted goal of season. proved last appearance of season after tony craig had served suspension , returned starting lineup. o connor unused substitute 2013 playoff final, won 2–1 yeovil town. made 16 appearances during 2012–13 season. o connor returned fit 2013–14 season , once again deputised @ centre tony craig in 1–1 opening day draw port vale. groin injury suffered in october 2013 saw o connor miss 2 months of season, before return bench unused substitute 1–0 league victory on oldham athletic on 14 december. o connor made first appearance in on 4 months start in 2–0 win on port vale on 11 january 2014. deputised @ centre harlee dean , played full 90 minutes alongside tony craig. after 4 consecutive starts, club began negotiations on new one-year contract in february 2014.
on 20 march 2014, o connor signed new one-year contract, tying him bees until summer of 2015. following automatic promotion championship 3 games spare, o connor appeared in each match bring him 500 brentford appearances. after final game against stevenage concluded, o connor jointly lifted league 1 runners-up trophy craig. finished 2013–14 season 12 appearances , won special achievement award reaching 500 appearances.
