srikantadatta wadiyar studied in private royal school @ mysore palace , completed secondary school education in 1967. took horse riding lessons government riding school, mysore.


he had british , anglo-indian nanny groomed him. mr. watsa mentor him during formative years. joined maharaja s college, mysore, in 1968 pursue one-year pre-university course , later earned degree in bachelor of arts in 1972, pursuing 1969 1972, majoring in english literature , political science.


his minor subject sociology. second language kannada, tutored prof. k. venkataramappa. did master s degree in political science @ manasa gangotri, university of mysore, 1972 1974. studied course in law open-university student.


throughout college career, avid cricketer , had collection of cricket bats signed international test cricket players. studied western classical music , carnatic classical music. in youth, had studied vedas well. awarded gold medal securing first rank in master of arts in political science. wife, maharani pramoda devi wadiyar, post-graduate in hindi.
