the film centers around serial killer known card player , kidnapping young women in rome. using webcam set-up, killer challenges police forcing them play hands of internet poker. if police lose, kidnapped victim tortured , murdered on-screen. when british tourist among girls murdered, policeman john brennan (cunningham) assigned case , teams italian detective anna mari (rocca). duo have work cut out them when police chief s daughter (argento) becomes killer s latest kidnapping victim.
