the regiment next saw action during raid on st malo, destroying of french stores, in june 1758 during 7 years war. went on equal success, destroying vessels in harbour, @ raid on cherbourg in august 1758. regiment stationed in islington , placed on guarding duties @ apsley house, home of lord bathurst, during gordon riots in 1780.
