in 1997, shokufeh migrated sydney, australia , started working , studying again bachelor s degree in nursing charles sturt university.


all while, continued painting , in 2003 had first solo exhibition entitled persian graffiti , promoted famous iranian writer, shahrnush parsipur. exhibition gained great deal of attention australian media. after 2005 cronulla riots, joined art group tah, art humanity , participated in twelve group exhibitions on australia raise awareness against racism.


some sale proceeds of group went afghan charity, mahboba s promise, support afghan widows , orphans. these humanitarian efforts earned nominations australian of year award in 2005, 2007 & 2008, , pride of australian medal in 2005 , 2007 daily telegraph (australia) newspaper.

she continues exhibit paintings regularly. 2 of paintings featured among official final selections in favourite movie moments exhibition, 2006 sydney film festival , paper appeared in first international symposium iranian cinema . 2 paintings have been selected 100 years of imprisonment, special exhibition organised in united states of america in support of political prisoners in iran.


in 2006, selected present prince claus awards dr. michael mel in papua new guinea – university of goroka alongside dutch ambassador h.e.mr. niek van zutphen. attended main prince claus awards ceremony in 2008 , met dutch royal family , laureates of awards. has participated in fictive days sixten kai nielsen, project organised www.wooloo.org berlin festival in 2008, wherein played role of queen elizabeth of england along 7 others playing famous characters in history of cinema.

she lives in sydney, works nurse , completed post-graduate degree of genetic counselling charles sturt university, paints , intends take participate in more exhibitions , works on translating book. 3 of paintings appeared in 2011 florence biennale, italy.
