the portion of us 75 north of omaha interstate 129 designated lewis , clark scenic byway begins. throughout remainder of highway s length parallel missouri river, highway passes near locations of former campsites of lewis , clark expedition. us 75 continues north beyond omaha city limits, highway winds way through rolling hills before entering missouri river plain south of fort calhoun. here, highway continues northward travel along edge of river plain towards blair. here, in blair, us 75 comes junction us 30, lincoln highway, , 2 routes run concurrently along washington street one-half mile (800 m) before coming intersection n-91. here, us 30 diverges southwest towards fremont while us 75 resumes heading north. 9 miles (14 km) later highway passes through small village of herman , 6 miles (9.7 km) later enters city of tekamah has intersection n-32 after crossing tekamah creek. highway continues north out of tekamah, still following edge of rolling hills , missouri river plain passing through rich agricultural fields, 15 miles (24 km) before coming intersection n-51 on south edge of decatur west of onawa materials yard , middle decatur bend state wildlife areas, both enclaves of nebraska situated on eastern side of missouri river , accessible via roads in iowa. us 75 , n-51 run concurrently through decatur one-half mile (800 m) before n-51 departs east cross missouri river iowa while us 75 continues north out of town. heading out of decatur, highway climbs rolling hills turns northwest omaha reservation towards tribal seat of macy. north of macy, highway comes junction n-94 , 7.5 miles (12.1 km) later intersects us 77 south of winnebago. here 2 highways run concurrently north emerge rolling hills missouri river plain pass through village of homer. 6 miles (9.7 km) later, two-lane highway becomes four-lane divided highway approaches dakota city. on west side of dakota city, highways intersect n-35 before continuing on north. 2 miles (3.2 km) later highway approaches interchange i-129 , us 20 on southwest side of south sioux city. here, us 20 heads west towards o neill while us 77 heads north sioux city, iowa. us 75 joins i-129 , us 20 head east across southern portion of south sioux city sergeant floyd memorial bridge crosses missouri river , continues iowa.
