career
early career (1994–2000)

originally formed in 1994 all-instrumental, power metal outfit, italy s dgm featured guitarist diego reali, keyboardist maurizio pariotti , drummer gianfranco tassella.


in 1995 luciano regoli, formerly of raccomandata ricevuta ritorno, joined lead singer. first official release in 1996, self-produced mini cd random access zone.


in 1997 band produced first full-length album change direction album received in italy, germany, finland, , denmark, prompted them start italian tour resulted in gain in popularity.


with new drummer fabio costantino (ex-carnal raptor), dgm entered studio second album: wings of time (top album on italian magazines metal shock, flash , metal hammer). in japan cd sold on 4,000 copies in first 10 days.[1] band contacted burrn! exclusive interview enlarged dgm reputation in worldwide musical scene.


rise in popularity (2000–2007)

before third studio album release, titta tani joined band, becoming new dgm singer. dreamland subsequently released in december 2001. in springtime 2001, andrea arcangeli (airlines of terror, solisia, concept, ex-river of change) became new dgm bass player before italian dates dreamland promotion.


in 2002 band signed italian independent label scarlet records. hidden place released in may 2003 new progressive sound new keyboard player fabio sanges (abstracta). fourth album received excellent reviews on many magazines , web magazines on world.[2][3] following release dgm played @ gods of metal in 2003.


misplaced released in february 2004. album produced giuseppe orlando s (novembre, airlines of terror) outer sound studios. hidden place, misplaced has been received both magazines , audience,[4][5] , several live dates followed release.


in 2005 simone mularoni (empyrios) replaced diego reali. simone had previous experience sound engineer , producer @ fear studios. after addition of simone, dgm teamed keyboard player emanuele casali (astra, ex-empyrios) after departure of fabio sanges.


simone , emanuele gave new songs renewed process of recording , result of simone s experience included in different shapes, released in 2007.[6]


on live front, dgm played second time @ gods of metal (2007) heaven&hell, dream theater, symphony x, dark tranquility among others, lagoa burning festival (2007), prog-power europe (2007) confirmation of high quality of different shapes.


basile era (2007–present)

in february 2007 dgm announced mark basile (b.r.a.k.e., ex mind key) new singer of band. mark chosen among several auditions throughout italy, europe , america after titta tani left band.


in 2009 dgm released first album mark basile , seventh album of career: frame. although received, several reviews marked slight step compared different shapes . 4 years before dgm release studio album, longest gap in career.


in april 2010 dgm performed show in rome celebrate band s 15 year anniversary. recorded , released in september in same year 2-disc cd/dvd synthesis . dvd disc contained complete live show including backstage access , making of film of album frame . cd best of collection, containing songs throughout band s career re-recorded , re-arranged current line-up. cd contained 2 new songs before , 1 .


on 28 march 2013 dgm released eighth album momentum . second singer mark basile , first album since 2004 s misplaced feature unchanged line-up previous studio release. album features guest vocals on track reason russell allen of symphony x , guest guitars on track chaos jørn viggo lofstad of pagan s mind.


on august 26, 2016 dgm released ninth studio album passage . guitarist , producer simone mularoni said; album can seen our ambitious work date. album features special guest appearances, evergrey singer tom englund on track , single ghosts of insanity , guest appearance member of symphony x, time guitarist michael romeo on track dogma.
