bowen born in australia on 12 may 1984. parents tony , kathleen worked qantas , spent time overseas child, including stint family in zimbabwe. bowen cancer survivor, having had disease between ages of 4 , seven. lived in stanwell park on south coast of new south wales , attended primary school in dulwich hill, suburb of sydney. bowen has younger brother, timothy, musician.


bowen attended university of wollongong in new south wales, australia, received bachelor of creative arts degree in 2006.
