the father had chronic lung disease diagnosed in 2007 , used medical ventilator. on 18 april 2010, family s electricity cut off , purchased petrol powered generator.


in 2007, home of zhongs , of 21 neighbours resumed building of new bus station. zhong s refused accept compensation. yihuang investment , development company gave zhongs 2 options: monetary compensation or house sixty meters away. claimed zhongs refused both options , responded demands rebuild on site, exchange site of home 480 m land in 4 parcels or 3 million yuan in compensation. denied.


at 9am on 10 september 2010, on 40 police , workers chengguan city urban administrative , law enforcement bureau , government officials arrived @ zhongs house. said needed enter house check gasoline supply. when zhong rucui asked search warrant, officials said didn t need 1 potential emergency. zhongs locked door. several minutes later, police broke door down , entered building. ye zhingcheng , 2 others went roof , burnt gasoline.
