the main building


sekolah seri puteri founded on 6 may 1968, , original name sekolah menengah kebangsaan perempuan jalan kolam ayer (female secondary school of jalan kolam ayer), kuala lumpur. established provide secondary education students across malaysia. built on 19-acre site @ jalan kolam ayer owned technical school, school opened 144 form 4 students, 10 teachers, , 3 non-academics assisted puan khalidah adibah amin, first principal.


in 1969, school started contracting teachers bangladesh fill vacancies in science , mathematics departments. first group of 102 form 6 students admitted in may 1971. form 1 students first admitted in 1975.


in 1975, pre-university matriculation courses universiti kebangsaan malaysia first attended 88 students. in 1976, wind orchestra, seri puteri winds, formed third principal puan hajah badiah bt hj, abdul manan, , vice-principal wilma lesurf.


the school celebrated tenth anniversary on 16 september 1978. @ event, fourth school principal, puan zainab bt haji mohd yusop, officially named school sekolah seri puteri, signifying beauty, dignity, , leadership . school emblem introduced in same year.


on 1 may 2003, sekolah seri puteri moved jalan kolam ayer current location in cyberjaya. grand opening of new facility held on 10 april 2007. sultanah nur zahirah, thirteenth raja permaisuri agong of malaysia, officiated @ opening.
