as amateur gymnast in 1950s, 6 2 , 180 pounds, gill specialized in competitive rope climb , still rings, achieving time of 3.4 seconds 20 rope climb (from seated position on floor, arms only) , accomplishing number of difficult stunts on rings, including inverted , olympic crosses, giant swings, , slow pulls hang handstand. engaged in called bodyweight exercises similar gymnastics, achieving 7 one-arm pullups right arm , 5 left, several one-finger one-arm pullups, one-arm pullups carrying twenty pounds, one-arm pullups on one-half inch ledge, , one-arm front levers.


gill still enjoys doing mild bodyweight exercises, here @ ages 75 , 76. , @ age 80.
