in 2010 ward system changed there being 3 wards in dunedin. central ward elect eleven councilors, mosgiel taieri ward elect 2 , waikouaiti coast-chalmers ward elect one.


central ward

all eleven incumbent councillors sought re-election, while 28 other people sought election council.


eight of eleven councillors returned council councillors, while councillor dave cull returned mayor. 3 new councillors elected: richard thomson, lee vandervis, , jinty mactavish.
